A little out of date

The material in the book is generally useful, but it definitely suffers a bit from being dated. The paperback indicates that it was published in 2000, and I suspect that the content wasn't "touched up" for the Kindle release.
There's some information in there about why you'd want to shoot MF, and that information is generally still relevant.
A fair portion of the rest of the book is devoted to discussing models of MF cameras. Is specific to film models, with no mention of digital, even digital backs or which models may be able to accept digital backs. I'm relatively certain that there were film MF cameras built after 2000, so I'm not certain that the book even covers all of the possibilities in film. Even with the models that are covered, some of the information is a little sparse (entries are sometimes like "This model is basically this other model with some updates." which isn't particularly helpful, imho).
Overall, the book is decent, but not amazing. It's certainly useful to get a feel for what models of film MF cameras are capable of, but could definitely do with a fleshing out, and possibly an update.

Indispensible for Medium Format shooters and collectors!

I've had the printed edition of this book for over a decade and recently bought the Kindle version so I can have it where ever I go. Mr. Williams has done an excellent job of laying out the benefits of medium format--as well as the drawbacks--and goes through each major manufacturer's lines for the various body styles (twin-lens reflex, single-lens reflex, rangefinder, and specialty). As the owner of at least eight MF bodies I find this title indispensable when looking for basic information about a product line, lens series, viewfinders, and other accessories.
Truly a "find" that I've bought twice--once in print and once electronically!

++++ Mr. Williams published exactly what I was looking for. I'm looking for the format using 120 and 220 FILM only.

Just what I was looking for in my quest before buying a used Medium Format camera. It wet my appetite for a range finder camera that is now on my list of photographic must try. Other reviewers can call it dated that is quite alright with me just pay attention to which edition you purchase it isn't aimed for the digital world.
